Senate Hall of Shame, aka Canadians

You won’t believe the news coming out of the Senate this week.

Senator Nancy Ruth went viral after complaining about being served cold Camembert (a.k.a. fancy cheese) and broken crackers on a first-class plane ride.

I’m just happy to get a complimentary coffee with my fellow passengers in economy class.

For Canadians, the Camembert story sums up so much of what’s wrong with the Senate today. Unelected, unaccountable and out-of-touch senators cost Canadians almost $90 million every year.

Tom and our NDP team are leading the fight to abolish the Senate. In the meantime, we’re making the 2013 Senate trading cards available for a limited time only.

Chip in $5, or whatever you can, and we’ll send you a pack right away:

As more and more senators get inducted to the Senate Hall of Shame, these original ten trading cards are sure to increase in value.
